Our rural clinic is currently seeing an average of 4,100 patients a month for a variety of diseases and emergencies, the most common of which is Malaria. Our maternity ward delivers an average of 60 babies a month.
Orant’s water program works with communities to repair wells and drill new ones to provide abundant and sanitary water points across our catchment area. We also provide training in health and sanitation to all we serve.
Orant runs a 32 acre demonstration farm designed to train local farmers in techniques that will increase their yield. We have trained a team of 80 lead farmers who in turn go out into their community to teach their neighbors.
Education is the most sustainable path to true development in Malawi. Orant helps pay the school fees of students in secondary school and university. We particularly focus on girls, who face many obstacles to finishing school.
We provide holistic community development services that are dedicated to the principle of community involvement and ownership and are designed to help the poor improve their own circumstances through sustainable development.
